We're in Argentina right now, but...
We're super happy to announce that we'll have two passionate, experienced and amazing Argentinean teachers in our school while we are in Buenos Aires. The Argentine Tango in Prague is happy! Since all of you liked him so much, Giggio Giovanni is coming back to Prague. Giggio will continue all regular lessons from January 21st until February 10th. And, for the first time in Czech Republic, Matias Tripodi will be taking over from February 11th until the 21st. Patricie & Javier will be back teaching normally from March 11th!
We seriously recommend you to take also at least 1 private lesson with each of these fantastic guest teachers. Your tango will grow faster and you'll be supporting the Argentine Tango in Prague. ... is deeply in love with music and movement, because he was born in a family of artists. He has been dancing tango for over 23 years and teaching it professionally for more than 20. He lived in Buenos Aires until 2006, from where he started travelling to teach, perform and "TDJing" around the globe. Teaching his unique dance style based on sharing this passion. So, with a private time you'll be able to capitalise it tremendously. Giggio will be back to Prague for the second time in a row! He's very happy to meet all our wonderful and dedicated students once more. You can speak to Giggio in Spanish, Portuguese, English, Russian, Italian & German. And he may also learn some Czech during those days!

Matias was born in Buenos Aires in 1985. Dancer, teacher and choreographer of tango, Matías gathers a series of atypical experiences and journeys that are intertwined in an aesthetic universe in permanent development; specialising in the integration of artistic tools and languages for contemporary creations and pedagogical projects. Matías started dancing tango at age 17, in the traditional spaces of tango of BA. He also graduated in Linguistics at UBA (University of Buenos Aires). And his aesthetic curiosity inspired by tango led him early to other disciplines such as writing, drawing and video. As a Tango teacher, he works in BA and Europe since 2008, working with blind people, young people, dance companies, circus spaces and regular or special classes. On his first trip to Europe, he meets the Tanztheatre Pina Bausch, and there begins a link that will be continued on the following trips. Since 2015 he's an associate artist of the company Incidence Choréographique. He's collaborated with dancers of the Opera of Paris, the ballet of Leipzig, Ballet of the Opera of Rhin (France), among others. Matias is looking forward to meet the Argentine Tango in Prague! WRITING THE MOVEMENT OF TANGO:
Is it possible to write the movement of tango? Matias Tripodi offers a theoretical reflection based on a graphic representation of tango, on the border between theory and art. The idea is to find in dance the equivalent of what the score is in music. Simple and effective, the structural notation system for tango is a new teaching aid and a way of preserving the intangible heritage of Argentine tango as well as opening up new creative horizons. As part of this project is published in Paris in October 2016 a book, consisting of two parts: a first to explain the system of notation, and a second with literary texts of the author whose theme is centered around the possibility to write the ephemeral. The French version was published in May 2017. Meetings, workshops, exhibitions and conferences make up this elastic interstice between art and theory.
